The National Bird of Bahrain

The native White-Cheeked Bulbul is the National Bird of Bahrain. They were in danger of extinction due to the attack from the crows who came from India to Bahrain in cargo ships (like many early Indian expatriates in Bahrain :)). Few years back the Government appointed shooters to kill  crows and as a result their numbers are low now. However, there are still some clever crows who managed to evade the shooters' guns by hiding among the palm trees.
